Will a safty pin set off the metal detector in the airport?

got on a trip but keep a safty pin in my pants to keep them together will it set the alarm off?

98% of the time no. Some dectectors are set at a lower threshold than others. One time the zipper of my fly set one off, but only once.

I'm not sure on that one, I once went through one and the metal in my bra set it off!!
