Question:
Key West or the Everglades?

Helo there. So I am taking a trip to Florida at the start or July. There are two options for my family. The first is that we can take a trip to the Everglades, and the second option is that we can go to Key West. I am partial to Key West right now because I've heard they have beautiful beaches, but then my Aunt said that a trip she took to the Everglades was one of the best experiences of her life. If you live in Florida or if you have been to both or just one, please leave some advice. Thanks :).

Enjoy the Keys as you make your way over to Key West. Stop at Bahia Honda State Park and take a swim. If you are lucky, you might see the elusive Key Deer. They are very cute!

The other posters are correct, the Everglades are a tough place to visit in July due to the heat & bugs. Keep to the beach area where conditions are more tolerable or take a boat ride in. One thought would be to go to John Pennekamp State Park which is in the keys and in the glades. You will find more activity there in the summer season. The ride down to Key West is fun & you will see a lot along the way. NOTE: There are few beaches in the Keys, most are just coral reef, the sandy beaches are usually man made. The beach at Key West is not big or impressive. People do not go to Key West for the beach, they go to party on Duval Street.

To enjoy the Everglades involves some walking. I wouldn't go to the Everglades in July because of the heat, humidity, storms, and skeeters. Rangers and tours can be limited in the summer, too. Go to Key West and party with the crowds.

Go to the Everglades in the Fall or Spring, go to the Keys now.

i live in florida and i love the keys, ive seen the everglades and its not really much fun, you can take an airboat and see all the wildlife but appart from that theres nothing to do but get eaten by misquitoes, try going to this little beach off the 7 mile bridge the waters so shallow and great for snorkling, you can litteraly go out a good 70 feet ad its still up to your knees
