Do I need to rent a car?

I'm visiting Ft. Lauderdale for 3 days and Miami (South Beach, art deco) for 3 days.

I think it is always best to rent a car. That way you aren't limited and can go where ever you like. You are free to pick and choose from anything you wnat.



Walking can limit you to shorter distances and can also be dangerous in some cases. Public transportation can also be dangerous and slow. Taxis can be dangerous and the costs can add up pretty quickly to where you are better off renting.



If you plan to see a lot of things, you definitely want a car. If you aren't sure of what you will be doing, a car is probably a good idea as well.
